“She is a wise women who does not grieve for the things which she has not, but rejoices for those which she has” – Epictetus

For some of us that grief is such a strong magnet to what once WAS. This causes us to miss what IS. We are unable to rejoice and see the miracles in the present moment, or even look forward to the future without the weight of the past always dragging us down, or taking our minds to a place it shouldn’t be.
The more we come to understand all that God has for us, the more we can let go of yesterday, past regrets, guilt, pride, hurt, rejection, the things we should have, would have, or could have done.
In Romans it says “God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” God takes those situation, people and things of the past and uses it for our good! He is changing, strengthening and refining us for a much greater purposes. He is working with us and creating new hearts that are best kept in the moment given to us right now.
Be content with what you have today. Let go of everything of the past. He will continue to bless you in the days to come. Walk with Him today and ask Him to give you joy in the present moment. Allow Him to surround you with His love, peace and provision for this moment. Your joy will overflow!!
“Keep me from lying, and let me be neither rich nor poor. So give me only as much food as I need.” – Proverbs 30:8
Dear Lord, forgive the past moments where I may have not been aware of You. Help me to forgive and forget what has been and bless me where I am right now! Keep me close to You Lord and teach me to walk with you everyday.
AMEN!
